iPad Air with M3 chip:

Apple officially announces iPad Air with M3 chip.

This represents a major step forward in improving the device’s performance and expanding its capabilities. This version comes in two sizes: 11 inches and 13 inches, with multiple color options including blue, purple, silver, and space gray.

Improved performance with the M3 chip:

This chip is the beating heart of this new device, offering significant improvements in speed and power efficiency. The CPU features eight cores, 35% faster than the M1 chip.

While the nine-core GPU delivers 40% improved performance, these improvements make the device ideal for multitasking, fast video editing, and a smooth gaming experience.

Additionally, the new AI engine is 60% faster than the M1 chip, opening up new possibilities for on-device AI applications.

Design: A combination of elegance and lightness

The iPad Air series has always been characterized by its thin and light body, and this approach continues with the new version powered by the M3 chip.

Structure and materials

The device comes with a body made of recycled aluminum, which enhances its durability and light weight, while maintaining the distinctive appearance that reflects Apple’s design philosophy. It features flat edges that give it a modern and elegant feel, with support for magnetic ports that facilitate the use of Apple accessories such as the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil.

Screen:

Available in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes, it gives users the freedom to choose the size that best suits their needs. Both models feature a slim and lightweight design, making them easy to carry and use in a variety of conditions.

Its display features Liquid Retina technology, a multi-touch display with LED backlighting and IPS technology. This technology provides high resolution and rich colors, making the viewing experience immersive and enjoyable.

In addition, the screen supports a wide color gamut and “Color Harmony” technology, which ensures color balance and the screen adapts to ambient lighting conditions.

The 11-inch model has a screen resolution of 2360 x 1640 pixels, while the 13-inch model has a resolution of 2732 x 2048 pixels, with a pixel density of 264 pixels per inch in both models. The screen brightness reaches 600 nits, ensuring clear images even in bright light.

Its screen features an anti-reflective coating and full lamination technology, which reduces glare and improves the viewing experience in different lighting conditions. These features contribute to a comfortable and smooth visual experience for the user.

Despite rumors that the screen refresh rate could be increased to 90Hz in this version, this new device retains the 60Hz refresh rate. However, the advanced screen technology ensures a smooth user experience and fast touch response.

Its screen supports the Apple Pencil Pro, enhancing users’ creative capabilities. In addition, a new Magic Keyboard was designed specifically for it, providing a built-in trackpad and more space for editing and design tasks.

Advanced integration with AI and Siri:

It features deep integration with Apple Intelligence, offering smart tools like Image Playground to turn sketches into professional images, Genmoji to create custom emojis, and Writing Tools to enhance writing and edit seamlessly.

Siri has also become more intelligent thanks to its ability to remember context and conduct natural conversations, in addition to its integration with ChatGPT, allowing users to get more accurate answers without having to switch between apps.

The improved Magic Keyboard:

Apple launched this keyboard, which offers a larger trackpad for improved accuracy while working, and a functional key row that allows quick control of lighting and sound.

The keyboard attaches magnetically, connects directly via the Smart Connector, and supports USB-C.

It starts at $269 for the 11-inch model and $319 for the 13-inch model, and is available in white.

Price and availability of new devices:

The 11-inch model starts at $599, while the 13-inch model starts at $799. Discounted prices are available for education, with the smaller model starting at $549 and the larger model at $749.

Sustainability and Environment:

As part of Apple’s commitment to sustainability, the new iPad Air is made with at least 30% recycled materials, including 100% recycled aluminum, and batteries containing 100% recycled cobalt. Apple continues to work toward its goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2030, powering its entire facilities with renewable energy and investing in wind and solar projects to offset the energy used in manufacturing and shipping devices.
